Will a FMIC make my GTI-R laggy?

just depends on what you want to do, only real way to find out if its any good for you is to try it but then you have to cut holes can you find someone local that has one with a front mount? or go to a meet and see what someone elses seems like

i only noticed it on stop & go.like long waits on traffic lights. felt the power loss. but whilst blasting around the the top mount was great. I did take the cover off though in my head it made a Difference as they dont use one in the Rally. Also if you get stopped by the police you can say you need the keep the Intercooler cold ;)

Stock ECU is really 'safe' as I guess Nissan assumed that it would be possible for the car to sit running for extended periods then the TMIC would heat up and then you'd end up with a whole load of hot air entering the engine when you put your foot down. This is not a problem with FMIC so you can dial in ignition get better mpg and more power.
What sort of MPG increase do you see from mapping Ed?
