Wide Arch Kits

Why not try something different than go with whats been done. Ive never been a fan of the fiberglass kits for the R but why not give arch extensions (over fenders) a go?

ie something like this but maybe not as extreme?

Only an idea but it would be nice to see something new on the R scene for once!

Yes, agree. this is the other option and makes a lot of sense.

You can get 3" arch extensions for not a lot of money and should accommodate wider wheels quite easily.

Not sure if this has been done on a GTiR before and what it would look like but definately an option.

How about the bolt on arches off a Proton Satrai GTI? I did a rough visual once and they looked like they might fit : )

think you will need atleast need something else on the bumper and sideskirts or would look stupid with just the arches, would be like some 4x4 or something

I would prefer for the arches to line up with the bumpers and side skirts as it would look better. I guess it depends if you are looking for purpose or looks.

What are you planning Danny, is this going to be a show car or is it gonna be a track focused car?

I guess if its a show car then the fibreglass kits are the way to go as the magazines seem to love that sort of stuff , but then for me I think it looks horrible on a Pulsar, but thats only my view.

Over fenders will be much cheaper and would look mean if riveted on and im sure if its a track car with you added canards to the front bumper and a full width rear diffuser to the rear it would all look "right", whether you could get this to look like a show car is doubtful though but I doubt that would be the point.

As I say its only an idea and I cant think of anyone else that has tried something of this nature on a Pulsar, I may be wrong though!

Track car John. Ive just spoken to a mate who has done something similar on a clio and is going to send me over a piccie. I think the over fenders idea is probably the best option, and sort something out for the bumpers.

I was going to do this, already produced a back bumper with cannards and was looking at the arches off escorts and the drift ones, so will have to do it faster and beat you :nerner:

Good minds think alike. You can get 3" universal arches off of ebay for around £40 squid. Will need to investigate more but looking more and more like this is the way to go.

Cheers for the piccies.

Seen the white one before (far too many times lol) and the red one is interesting.

Im really after something wiser than the red one but not as wide as the white one.

Im fussy I know

A wash and a t-cut and she will be fine ;-)
Push most of it out from the inside scott?
... that may be the final approach.... followed by some filler.
My main problem at the moment is time... keep having to leave the country to work... Haiti was my next offer... I have turned it down and hope to get the spanners and hammers out very soon... cheers!
