Water pump

Has anyone changed the waterpump on their R?Just wondering what sort of time I should allow as there ain't a lot of room down there!!!!!!,!

Not in situ. Most people end up changing it during a rebuild of some sort. It is leaking?

I did in situ, took about 4 hours pissing about, quite a crap job to do but doable

Am i right in saying getting the old one off or sealing new one is tricky in situ

Trying to place the new pump on and not mess up the bead of sealant around the pump is the tricky part. Small hands and removing the drivers side engine mount and raising the engine help.

Water pump now done bit fiddly but got there in the end,thanks for all you help

glad its sorted take long ? I always take my time doing stuff. Box or clutch change I spend couple of days could do it in way less but on the drive at home so just slow and steady double check everything then check again
