Tyres, OK to change 2?

Can we just change 2 tyres on our car or do we need to change all 4 like on some other 4x4s to stop the diff winding up or whatever it does?

Changing 2 has never caused me any problems, they just have to be the same size and profile.

It's only the Calibra/Cavalier 4x4s that eat the centre diff if all the tyres aren't replaced at the same time from what I know.

As long as 2 arent down to 1.6 and new ones are 8mm. If they pretty much the same u shud be ok. TBH is one pair is wearing out fast I would be wondering if my diffs are ok.

Nah the fronts always go first, thanks to the natural bias towards understeer.
