Tire Size Dilemma 17"

I have dillema to find the right tire for my R

have spoilt between this 3 choice

215 x 45 x 17
215 x 40 x 17
205 x 45 x 17


the tyre brand is T1R and the price is not much different between the 3
which one is your preference choice ?

I've got 215x40x17 T1-Rs on mine. Don't think there's gonna be a lot in it mate, comes down to comfort mostly. What width are the rims? I only went with 215s 'cos my rims are 7.5J

for my 17's i have 205/40, no scrubbing at all

The Rim itself is X 7 only

A lot people recommend 205 x 45 and 215 x 40 instead of 205 40 since 205 40 series will be a bit stiff

Haven't had much of a chance to cane it due to recovery from an operation. I had one little scuff on the arch liner the last time I drove her but I was on a bad corner (camber away from me) and hit a fair sized bump mid-corner. Other than that, nowt

Don't think there's gonna be a helluva lot of difference between 205x45 and 215x40. If my calculations are right (don't bank on it), the 205x45 will have a sidewall depth of 92.25mm whereas the 215x40's sidewall depth will be 86mm. Hmm actually, now I've worked it out, that's quite a difference. For comparison, a 205x40 will be 82mm.

I'd go with the 215x40s personally. Oh, yes. I did didn't I
