Temperature Gauge not working/Idles at 1500rpm

Got my car running today!Finally! All heats up fans cut in, but the temp gauge doesnt move??? Anybody had this before or no what it could be?


Also my revs sit at 1500rpm on idle?? Any ideas??

Any help would be much appreciated.

Temp gauge may be stuck (mine does occaisionally) a quick tap on the dash board normally frees it up, or the wiring maybe disconnected.

My temp gauge goes off the scale as soon as i turn on the ignition on! I know my car isnt overheating as it does it from cold. Is this a dead short on the sender?? its not a bad earth as i have checked the earth bond is fine. any ideas??

broken wire or bad connection at the temp sensor under No1 cylinder throttle body chap (spade terminal) check your timing cos if a tad advanced will run fast when warm. Also check for air leaks and pipes off like we spoke about, good luck man. Do you have a parts man coming by sometime or do you wanna collect that manual sometime. 8)
