Stripping brake caliper

Brake caliper and pads question

I've got hi-spec 300mm 4pots, how do I strip the caliper down, need to make a few repairs to it. Also how do you get the pads off of the calipers, I can't seem to move the two small pins that thred through the pads, where am I going wrong or do they just need a good whack. Cheers.

yeah id say just give it a wack. WD it if you not gonna use the pads agian cos if you get oil on the pads there contaminated i think?

The two pins that go throught the pads and hold the pads in place are held in place by a split pin on the back side of the pin, Hope you get that? If not ill just show you when im up later, lol
