just thought i would wisen up a few members on here just incase they fall for the same trick as i did yesterday!

7 hour wasted return trip to birmingham looking at this pile of sh1t which is basically a breaker.
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=260215622022&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT&ih=016

i bought the car as per description on ebay:doh: when i gets there, it has no forge pistons, no reciepts other than bigend shells, no lambda attached, knocking and rattling its head off, cuts out, misfiring, no driver seat fitted, no gear knob, half the interior missing, no real mods atall other than the brakes and dp downpipe, absolute bucket of shite, and i was not a happy bobby one little bit:roll:

i offered the guy a grand for it (ive bought better for that aswell) the car is situated nr robin hood lane in brum, with a couple of asian fellas flogging it and one that never showed his face.

so be warned people, may sound cheap but will cost you a mint to sort out. car really is just a breaker, this guy also has others for sale so be aware!

reminds me of a black pulsar i viewed in brum, car was described as "good condition" when i got there, the car had a big dent in the roof and would idle for shit, and the owner was of asian description, yet on the log book it had a englishmans name

still cost me a oner to get there and back, and i can think of far better things to do on my day off! lets just say he knew i was pretty fcuked off lol

i would leave him bad feedback, but the thing is with ebay is that its a retaliatory thing 'tit for tat' thats why i hate flogging stuff on there! so do i just put it down to a loss or carry on with the risk of having more bad feedback left for myself?
only good thing is that i did not leave a deposit so lost no money there as such.

i just want to make others aware of these scammers so they dont fall for there bullshit and end up being parted from there wedge! no doubt they are using other ebay accounts too as this was his mates account (which looks like a girls account, if you view the stuff thats been bought) so just remember robin hood lane and cars are round the corner from there at a different address, as his mate was selling it for him!
and as per usual, they know nothing about the car:roll: just doing there mate a favour! must have thought i was born yesterday:roll:

Now I'm not being racist here but I've never and would never buy a car from an Asian
under any circumstances  !

Like most of you I've been to see privately advertised car's in papers and auto trader and had a wasted trip to see some dodgy pile of 5hit being sold by some dodgy looking Asian chap off his drive  , Even though it's clear for anybody with half a brain in his head that it's not a private sale at all   .

100% agree with you on that one mate. have seen in many times when going to view cars in the past and the asian's seem to be most dishonest out the lot :? (no offence intended to fellow asian members ;-) )

it all depends really on the individuals involved!
i find that those from midlands area are more dishonest than those from south or up north (once again, no offense to midlanders), seems that everyones out for a quick deal in the midlands and you have a much bigger chance of buying a lemon, ive dealt with many asians and providing your firm with them then you dont have a problem (many do try to squeeze you for the best deal possible), but like anyone theres good and bad no matter what race you are.
without blowing my own trumpet, i know these cars inside out now and can spot an old sh1tter within 2 minutes, and this makes it even more aggravating to think these people seriously think there gonna fool me lol.

i will do as jon saddler has suggested in future and pay some of you in different parts of the country (who i can trust lol) to look at cars for me to save me a wasted trip, as theres many people on here who have very good knowledge of these cars scattered allover the uk, so if anyone wants to go on my list of scouts:lol: then just pm me and il pay you for your time and will not hold you to anything should i find a problem.
its just basically a quick checkover that im after, documents etc and any obvious engine or gearbox defects, knocks, smoke etc! at least then ive not got to go chasing round the country on a wild goose chase.

fletch.......i had a feeling it may have been him as his name was lee and from essex, so that proves it was one to steer clear of lol.

i`m sure i looked at an r from that house aswell ,he must be a dealer, the car was described as mint (surprise surprise) he wanted 3500, got there and it was a shed and next to the garage was an engine covered in a bag, i mean come on he could have at least tried to hide it, i do know what you mean about asians especially the young ones - dodgy dealers, in it, funny though i bought mine off an asian importer from london but he was a real nice chap and you could tell he was genuine and straight, he even give me a proper 3 months warranty off an insurance co.
good advice when buying a car is look at the owner and his house more than the car - you usually get a feel for if the car is going to be a good un even though the shed as above was in a nice area.

its not just asians,

as me and bobby were saying dont bother going to look at any being sold by a guy called lee from chelmsford, im not saying dont buy it if you're looking at one but be very very cautious as my car was a total mess when i got it.

From the pics in the ebay add (original) the engine bay looks very, well, vacant, or is it my eyes decieving me?

unfortunately when your in the situation where your travelling a long way to view something alot of the sellers use that fact to their advantage as they dont expect you to turn around and go empty handed, the majority will buy it just because they made the journey.

unfortunately we are riddled with scammers and dodgy dealers nowadays (even more so than a few years ago) so you really have to know what your looking at or else you end up paying for it in more ways than one.

Sorry to hear your troubles bob, im sure you wont get bitten twice ;)

Ant.
