the std boost gauge, goes upto 700mm/hg i think???

is this torr or millibar??

if this torr, when im hitting 700, then its 0.933 bar

whereas..

if its millibar, when im hitting 700, then its 0.7 bar

big diff!!! im hoping its millibar, then i can raise the boost some, (when i fit my new gauge)
if its torr, then i cant raise it much :(

can somebody confirm which the std gauge is & what its limits ie. 700 is?

:)

if your running 1bar, what does your std gauge say, is it at 700, or is it bending the needle :D

also, if you at std boost, what is the gauge reading??

The standard gauge is a waste of space. It usually not accurate.
I'm not sure what it reads in (milligrams of mercury or something) but 700mm/hg is 1bar however on my car standard boost (0.7bar) would hit this and 1bar goes of the gauge...

Get yourself an accurate gauge or have a tuner test it to see what it's running.

I thought it was a Bar gauge so reads to .7 Bar.

If you are upping the boost - you will need an aftermarket gauge in any case as the standard one is not v accurate.

ive got an autometer 20psi gauge, hopefully should be here tomorrow..

i originally thought that the gauge read to 0.7 bar also, im just hoping that when i fit my gauge & turn it to 1 bar next week, that im running more boost than what the car is running now IYSWIM :D

.9 bar has my standard gauge right off the scale.

also got an autometer 20psi gauge :)

which is why I presume the standard one is .7 bar

Definately mmHg (millimetres of mercury) We used to used the same units for local atmospheric pressure in the RAF, to work out the correction factors on the engines I worked with. :)
