Standard boost gauge not workin

The title says it all - when the motors on the gauge moves and sits just below 0 but does not budge from there. Is it likely to be the gauge or the sender (where is the sender). Also, what psi is 7mm of Mercury?? Cheers

7mm of mercury? u have to muiltply it by 100 8)

700mmHg = 13.5100psi
using a factor of 51.7140

not the gauge- as if that was up the wall, then it would sit at the bottom (like when power's off) and not in the middle.

The sensor is a matchbox sized black box with a pipe and connector going into it mounted on the passenger side inner wing near to the front of the car. Check the pipes not split that goes to it, failing that, buy a tester or connect a bike pump to it to provide some pressure and see if he gauge reacts.

If that doesnt work, i'd say your sensor's failed

Yeah - the fact that there is no hose connected would maybe lead me to believe thats the prob :lol: The connection on the end is broken clean off - i guess i will adapt some fitting onto it or sumthn

Just out of curiosity, have you noticed your idle is higher since the hose broke? because it would cause an air leak.
