Unfortunately the time has come. I need to sell my beloved GTIR. As much as it’s breaking my heart to this Im needing to get something a little cheaper to run. Here is all the info I could think of.



1992 pulsar, imported in December 2003 by Dickson’s of Dumblaine.
I bought it February 2004, still have receipt.
There were a couple of dents on the o/s/r quarter panel which I paid Dickson’s to repair (have receipt). Have all previous mots but there is not service history in this country as im a mechanic to trade (have been for 11 years). Part Jap history.
Also have most receipts for parts bought.
63k ish on the clock (pic included)
Running 278 bhp on standard boost (graph to prove). With a quick remap is capable of 310 ish @ 1.1 bar. Was going to do this but money and time is getting the better of me.

ENGINE
no knocks or rattles oil changed every 3.5k or 6 months with silkolene pro S 10w50.
Simota induction kit with custom pipe run and re-earthed maf sensor Turbo technics stage 1 hybrid turbo

Hks ssqv blowoff valve
Mongoose turbo back 2.5" exhaust with 5" tailpipe
Evo 7 intercooler with custom piperun (very short for low lag)
All vacum hoses replaced with silicone hoses
Blitz DSBC boost controller
Apexi SAFC2 fuel controller
Standard injectors fully serviced and flow patterns checked

Magnacore KV 8.5mm plug leads
Greedy rocker stopper kit
Double thickness copper core radiator
Custom radiator plate to channel air to radiator
Battery repositioned

RUNNING GEAR
Standard gearbox. Oil changed every 18months with silkolene syn5
HKS clutch cover with standard drive plate (good for 330bhp)

Clutch pedal support bracket
Lightened and balance standard flywheel

CHASSIS
KYB Super Special Street dampers (rears adjustable)
Avo lowering springs (pretty stiff ride)
Antiroll bar and droplinks polly bushed
Whiteline wishbone bushes and steering rack bushes (not fitted)
Sparco Rally 15" wheels (need refurb) trying to this before sale
yoko prada spec 2 tyres front
cheap make rear
All tyres 5 to 6mm
3G 16 grooved standard size front discs
Mintex 1144 front pads
Rear discs standard
EBC redstuff rear pads.

INTERIOR

Standard seats in good condition, small burn on o/s/r seat
Greedy 60mm boost gauge on A pillar
Apexi SAFC2 mounted in centre air vent
Boost controller mounted in drivers air vent
Blitz turbo timer mounted into cup holder
Alpine cd player
Sony door speakers
kenwood rear speakers
Toad cat 1 alarm with 2 fobs and fitting certificates
Factory umbrella still in wrapper

EXTERIOR

Generally in really good condition
There is a small bubble on the o/s/r arch
The top of the tail gate has some strange scratches under the paint work
Front of the bonnet and bumper have the usual stone chips
Pretty minor stuff as the rest looks so good

Also comes with standard shocks and springs, standard intercooler with pipework and brackets and standard airbox


No test pilots, genuine callers only.
Valid insurance certificate req to test drive.

Thats cheap mate for the condition of this car.. if this was in sweden it would fetch 8k no problem

I would really really like to keep it but i cant really afford to.
Cant really go out and enjoy it as im always looking at the fuel gauge or worring incase something goes wrong.

Could probably try giving up smoking to help pay for it lol

sorry for late replys been too busy seaching hi and low for new cars lol.
Going next sunday to possably do a swap deal for a dc2. I know it wont be nearly as fast as my R but my misses is starting her own cleaning company so need something alot cheaper to run. I just refuse to drive a "normall" car though so this the best compramise i could think of. Will be hard to hand the keys over though

Bet it's really driveable like that
Yeah it is mate lol. Really love driving it. hope to return to R ownership at some point.
Dont know if there will be any left by then lol.

Fuck the credit crunch, im doing what ever it takes to keep her, giving up the fags and eating lol.
Just cant do it, put too much work in

ha ha that's the spirit lad, you'd kick your self for getting rid of it man! i know how feel when your driving along waiting for sumit to go wrong or watching the fuel guage go down, bloody does me that that one!lol

i did but its cool, got it fixed. Was a bloody fusable link :doh:.
It ruined my fun in the snow :lol:.
While i remember, you got any uprated shocks for sale?
