Pulsar Blues........

Been feeling abit down in the dumps since my engine failure at cadwellpark, The thought of having to spend yet more money on it is making me sick to my stomach!(don't think Breaking the sunny is helping )

Breaking it may be on the cards, or if i can find it in me to stick another engine init and get it mapped and see how it goes , But iv got to be honest is it really worth all the time, money and effort that goes into it for 4 or so trackdays a year and couple of 1000mile between.
Iv been looking at alternatives which iv always liked the idea of owning, cars like 350z, integra dc5 type r,M3,evo 5 or 6, although i think i would nt mind a normally aspirated car for a change,

Where i go from here iv no idea at this point, Gonna leave it till the new year before i decide either way.....

Maybe ill feel different in the new year

thanks Dan

350z are lovely cars, but you'll get bored. I'm selling mine so I can get the pulsar back on the road again

I would love an M3 E46, i was plannning to break mine but then slowly have been putting it back to standard and to be honest i have started to enjoy it more on 1bar of boost on the standard turbo.

If i looked at it that way i'd have got rid of mine years ago! I probably spent about 3k + on my car in the last 12 months or so (including fuel & entry fee's for events) and only had about 1500 miles of use out of it :der:

Since buying mine I've spent a small fortune, I've not driven it for 18 month and need to spend around 50% of what I've spent again to finish it. I've pretty much sacrificed all other luxuries/uses of my deposable income for over year and spend a lot of time struggling to see the light at the end of the tunnel. In all honesty my enthusiasm is at rock bottom at the moment. However I have no intention of giving up. I spent the best part of a decade pining after a Pulsar and now I have one I'm not going to walk away from creating something unique and special. There are plenty of cars I would love to own and for the amount I've spent I could have bought a escort cosworth or a porsche 964 which would have gone up in value, but some how I doubt they would give any where near the same buzz.

when this is your hobby theres no point at all in thinking about value for money. it doesnt matter which car you buy unless its going to be a classic like an escort cosworth then your going to loose money, and even if you did get an escos, to retain any value you would need to keep it in a dry heated garage and never drive it. im, either buy a sensible car and become a hermit, or stop worrying about money and get a new engine in you big fag, i knew that yellow farmer girls hat was your lol.

youve been going about it arse about face dan lol
you should have kept that uk sunny lump you just broke and went out and bought some new shells, std size forged pistons, oil pump etc and you would have had a cheapish forge lump to go back in for next year

but if your fedup with the cars then maybe its time to try something a little more mainstream and boring lol

Just keep it and plough more money in like the rest of us.

Forget major power and run what everyone else does 300bhp @ 1bar

You'll have a blast, mucho fun and less issues

...end of!
