Any idea what level of knock according to the pfc is safe/o.k?

Went out in my R today (running 1.4bar) and hit a knock level of 43 and injectors hit 100% (running 700's) - orange light came on dash board and had loss of power??

Took it easy for a bit then had a play against a scooby (running 1.8bar) all was fine injectors hit 91% and knock peaked at 34.

100% of 700's doesn't sound right.

You've a 2871 or 3071 right?

Sounds like you need a trip to some good Apexi mappers...

RC are legends, Hiteq also supposed to be good if closer to you.

Cars running a 3071

One min it's fine, as in injectors hit 91% at 1.8bar. But a few time now they have hit 100% at 1.4bar??

700s at that sort of boost etc can max out best to run abit more fuel pressure but will need map adjusting to suit

with the knock levels id never like to see more than mid 20s as 35-40 is what you can sometimes hear so a bit much

but hitting the limiter etc can throw up big knock readings and also the readings are all based on the standard engine internals and the sensor being done up to factory torque settings but is handy to look at as a guide to whats happening in engine

Sounds like the car has only been mapped at its upper level of 1.8 bar and not for 1.4 so when running 1.4 it over fuels.
