Not much power from 2nd to 5th

Just had my engine rebuilt my HKS forged pistons and 1.2mm HG

Also had gearbox rebuilt with new 5th, input and layshaft.

I've done about 400 miles so far running it in.
Been driving under 4,000 revs, the odd time up to 5,000 revs while running it in.

1st gear pulls really well up to the 4 or 5,000rpm, 2nd is good enough, but from 3rd to 5th its feels really slow. A GTI sunny would probably be just as quick if not quicker.

Bear in mind im on standard boost with only a Kaikimo exhaust and an Apexi induction kit.
Also after 2 years of ownership this is only my second week of driving it cause it blew after 1 week.
This is the only R ive driven, so maybe they are not great on low down power, on standard boost, and i just didnt realise it. :?

Any ideas

Cool,
Did your old back box go from one sie of the car to the other instead of long ways.
Don't even no how much of an exhaust system is on the car
Will get it one the ramp and check.
Ye gonna get a goose anyway.

Any other ideas anyway :?:

Do you still have the CAT ? It could have broken down and is blocking your exhaust flow :?:
