What do they mean by "inner, outer" are there 2?

carefull with the universal ones some people said they used them no problem i found they split easy and the inner did not have the funny shape bit of rubber inside and they sold me two different sizes both were wrong. ended up going to nissan.sorry i do not have part numbers to hand

if you buy them from nissan theyre over £30 each, if you buy them from an autoparts place you can use the 1.6 sunny front cv gaiters, split ones are rubbish and the stretchy ones look shit and seem very tight.
once you pull the driveshaft off, knock the cv off and do both gaiters from the cv end.
if your stuck then give me a shout and ill supply you them.

When i got mine from Nissan Part numbers where
3924163Y25 <-- wheel side
and
3974155E87 <-- Gearbox side
