how to do an ecu reset

Is it just a case of disconnecting the battery for 30 minutes, if this is incorrect excuse my ignorance, my integrale evo is that simple!!

I think that works. Leave it for an hour or two, this should work.

Or just unplug the ecu from its harness and leave for a bit, should also work, doubt it has any internal power.
