High Power Headlight Bulbs

Whats the highest wattage conventional fitment bulb we can run without a powerpack. I've been looking at some here

that are 120w or 150w but wasn't going to comit myself just yet as I thought I'd ask to see what anyone else might be running.

Don't want to melt the front of the car off :? or more sensibly make the alternater work to hard.

Halfords do a range of off road bulbs, ive fitted the 80/100w ones and had no problems, they go upto 150w i think, 100w and above is the legal limit though, jeff.

Does anyone use over 80w dipped and 120 full beam???

55-60 is around legal limit 100 is def not road legal as ive got them and it says for off road only on box

anything over the standard limit will cause serious problems wiv the wiring too ................ :shock: it tends to catch fire :?

page 184 in the demon tweeks motorsport catalogue says 100w or over is illegal, ive had no wiring problems whatsoever using 80/100's, jeff

Just upgrade the wiring and change the relays.
No problem with mine. I'm running 100w too.
And i've Piaa competition 135/90w lying around if i wanna fit them.
