Headunit live wire help...

Just got told in the techy forum that its a yellow wire i'm looking for.. does this sound about right ?

If your wires don't match the colours of what I listed, get a volt meter and check them. You're looking for a permanent 12V for memory, switched 12v from ignition for power and lighting 12v, for your main feeds. (dunno if you have any other power options etc)

ok finally got my **** in gear and sorted it all out

Firstly thanks to everyone who posted.. turned out that the earth from the head unit had been wired to a 12v live that was activated by turning on the lights :S

Ripped that out and made my own earth.

Sorted..... and he said let there be music
