fitting am performance elbow to 3071

hi i have the said combo above but the turbine wheel is too large on the 3071 for the elbow by 10mm someone must of fitted these two together what do you have to do to get them the same size, is it a job of cutting it all out to fit and rewelding the pipework, or just lopping of the guide into the elbow??

someone i know had the same combo and just cut the inner pipe down not completely off

is this the group buy elbow
if so just chop the bit of tube off at the flange and grind all the edges back

was going to do that but thought i would email the guy first and he is going to make me a new pipe up with the specs i gave hime for the 3071r exhaust wheel size8)
