As long as the clutch is rated higher than what he's putting out bhp/torquewise... then surely the clutch should be fine??

I had an Exedy Racing clutch on the mr2 turbo and it done the job perfectly. (the car wasn't standard power)

What hes saying is thewre have been a few bad reports about the exedy's for the gtir, they may well be fine for other cars, im sure i heard they were built by some german firm or something, but me minds not what it used to be so ignore me :der:

With all the bad reports and failures of the Exedy clutches in the past I wouldn't like to take the chance myself, Not will all the costs involved in having to take the engine out again if it fuks up   .
