cor blimey,
tested my ECU for fault codes as quite a few people are getting fault codes comming up.
i have the Nissan fault code manual & the tester
i have 3 codes come up.
11 crank angle sensor [?] (sais to test for CAS signal to ECU) [?]
12 mass air flow [?] (refer to TPN 7)
34 everones fav...knock sensor (knock sensor operation.)

all these & my car's running fine?
think i had better start worrying.
has anyone had any of these & rectified them & seen an improvement at all..
my car is showing knock sensor fault but the ECU has not gone into safe mode. it feels fine.
it sais in the manual.
clearing codes (after correcting any vehicle faults)
fault codes do not have to be erased as this system does not have a memory of previos faults.
i take it this means that as & when u fix the coded problem, it will go away.[)][?]

silly question but if its ok why are you checking for fault codes?
by the way if the above have been disconnected recently it will produce a code

the system registers a fault code when it happens and stores it until you have started the car 50 times then it will be erased[;)]
the system resets itself each time you turn it off and restart it but still keeps a record of the fault even if its no longer present for 50 starts for future reference.
