I`m guessing it should be fairly durable, as its not like you have a lot of things rubbing on the dash (apart from your boyfriends stilettos).
the ford looks real nice further down this page. They mention the Suffolk place also

well if its good enough for the race and rally teams, then in sure itll be fine on a 20 yo datsun!
when i got ours back it looks great, and it does what its supposed to.
