cutting out under boost

I can't post this in the "problem solving" thread so I have to do it here.

I just got my car and drove it on the street for the first time yesterday.

- car idles well
- no smoke at idle or while revving

I was driving and when I went to accelerate the car started to cut out, kinda like the ignition cutting out between 4000-5000rpm at around .6 bar. If I kept on the gas the car would start bucking at while point I would have to get off it so the car would drive normal.

The car is smooth when I start from a light and just after I change gears...the problem only seems to happen when I 'get on it' and between the rpms stated above. ANY IDEAS??

I am new to turbo cars but my best guesses are
- MAF dirty
- spark plugs gaped wrong
- the engine is retardign the timing
- fuel filter or fuel pump

If the plug wells are dry, have a look for any boost leaks (loose/split boost hoses) and just make sure the wastegate actuator hose is connected.
