cusco 4 point lower brace and mongoose???

wanted to fit a whiteline lower brace, but unfortunatly i will have to wait too much for it so i will probably fit a cusco one.
only concern is if it will fit with my goose downpipe.
i know the whiteline will fit, but what about the cusco one?anyone has one and a goose?

thanks mate, and do you have any problems with the goose touching the brace?
if it is ok i will but the cusco one

When I had my Cusco 2 point brace on it rattled really bad on idle and eventually caused my manifold gasket to start blowing :roll:


I am also on the look out for a Whiteline lower brace :wink:

All I can tell you mate is that mine is fine and has been on for 3 years now :wink: , You can jiggle the front pipe around a little or even heat it up and bend it out the way a little :D .

The problem with the Cusco is it sometimes catches the exhaust and the Whiteline one is supposed to catch the floor sometimes if your GTIR is lowered. :roll:

Non of the places I went to would bend it out the way a little evn if I payed. :roll:


So the choice is yours mate :wink:

does anybody has a picture of the lower bar fitted with a goose?
and for gtound clearance?
that would help a lot....
as for the design, which is better?the whiteline or the cusco one?

I've got a Goose & Cusco 4 point lower brace the pipe clears the Goose by a good 50mm.Even with the 80mm drop on my car the brace boesn't catch any of the speed humps around where I live.

.....lucky you :wink: what kind of mounts have you got? i had less than inch on mine. i guess there' s a fair ammout of differences between mongoose mounting brackets then. 50mm does sound a lot though :? does it rattle on the heatshield?

i have speed mountains where i live btw :wink: :lol:

But there also could be another reason.......................afterdoing bit of research there seems to be 3 different Cusco lower Braces :shock:

Mine is a 4 point one with a fixing bracket through each rear wishbone mount then a mounting plate onto the ARB retaining block.Came from Japan only know its a GTI-R fit after translating the web page, looks like the standard 4 point one.

JIC Lower Arm Bar I

JIC also do a lower 2 point brace for the GTiR :wink:

Anyone got one or tried one???
