is it common for it to start falling to bits?the rubber in the middle of mine has started to come out and the bigger part of the pulley is moving over and starting to mince the power steering belt.

i was going to change that seal this weekend anyway so ill just get the pulley from a gti in the scrapie and change it at the same time.
