boost gauge fitting need help (half way through)

got it in etc boost works on it but its constinatly lighted up its only got 3 wires on it a battery/earth/acc what am i doing wrong connected the battery to + terminal
acc to the big red wire that comes out the ignition
earth to a already earthed terminal behind the lower dash panel ,

cant have it illuminated all the time whats going on cheers

Acc will have power the whole time your have the ignition on - you need to find a lights live (if that makes sense).

Would make more sense to wire the + to the Acc and the one you have going to Acc now to something like the lit ring on the cig lighter - or if you can be arsed... one of the lighting lives behind the speedo cluster.

which colour wire on the cig lighter is the light live one as mine dont light up at all but there is a plug missing off it so that might explain it.

sorted got it so the lights come on when i turn the lights on so is all good
