Benifits of front diff?

No its not much of an auction but it saves people bidding 1.50 2.00 2.50 etc silly bids even if i put a reserve on. Ive listed it at bottom price of what ive seen them go for!

No1 has asked you to bid on it. Ive just put the link on here as i know a there rare & people want them.

It came out of the car in working order.

I had a problem with the car & thought it was the diff, i replaced it & the problem is still there so it wasnt the diff at fault!

So before you sold it you checked the pre-load and plates, smell's very dodgy this to me hope it does'nt come and bite you on the arse.

Ok i can see im getting slated here for selling an item that was in working order when i removed it from the car! (maybe people trying to get something for nothing, i dont know)

So lets put it this way, If you sold a working engine out of a car "any car not just a pulsar" & it was working when you removed it from the car & it had good oil pressure, good compression etc, WOULD YOU ALL STRIP IT DOWN & check bores, oil pump, & generaly look at internals to make sure everything was ok???

I dont thik thats the case & any1 would do that unless they knew it was knacked. Then it may be a rebuilt engine for sale! fair enough.

But an engine for sale thats known as working is sold as a working engine that COULD BLOW UP within 2 days of the new owner running it "As i stated in the ebay add, In working order" Like ive said 100 times i thought the nismo diff was causing a problem i have with my car so i replaced the diff & problem is still there! So diff wasnt at fault.

So the nismo diff was sold in working order!

Just seems funny how people dont read things & make someone out to be a dodgy person & prob be posted all over the forum from next week as ill have a bad name (Gaz gtiR dodgy seller etc, etc)

A diff is slightly easier to check than an engine though....if you know what you are doing, if not you could ask someone who does like Danny, as a fellow member I'm sure he would give you sound advise on how to check it and if it was beyond your capabilities he might have offered to check it for you, maybe for a charge, maybe not, I don't know, but at least then your diff would be a known quantity.
As far a I'm concerned as is it's worth about £200 and would have bid up to that amount....

Just got my own pulsar.. Has the Nismo front diff. Quite like it actually :) Now I see what the fuss is about.

And how much experiance of all the differant diff's allows you to qualify that statement?
Have used Nismo front diff & in comparison the Modena geared LSD is my preference for road/track ...
My preference is always towards road usability & Modena wins here but perhaps Nismo & Cusco types have advantages on loose surface rallying for example ...
other big advantage is they are available new & reasonably priced ... Problem with Cusco & Nismo units used is you don't know who's been playing with them & if assembled badly with wrong preloads ect you got problems unless have spec sheet & knowledge to assemble correctly ...

I've just collected the diff from a local specialist and they have stripped it and cleaned it back up. Totally clean bill of health and all shiny too :) shame it's out of sight. Can't wait to get it fitted and feel the difference. :)

think your all being a bit hard on gaz tbh.....as he said these are secondhand parts and it wasnt the diff which was causing his problem!
he could have lied and said nothing but at least the guy was telling the truth unlike many others flogging stuff to earn a quick buck.

you cant expect brandnew parts for secondhand money and most stuff from these cars is now 20 years old or more so everything is an element of a gamble

Pulsar ownership isnt cheap
not true, it is cheap compared to any other performance car....i just had to fork out 5k on an engine for tvr and thats a stock built engine with no warranty:shock:
look at prices for evo parts etc and youll get a severe wake up call
people dont realise how cheap a pulsar is to run in comparison to other performance cars

Nissan in general seems to be a much cheaper market. I cringe when I hear what my friends with an STI and EVO 9 pay for aftermarket or even used parts.

What i'm getting at Bob is that recently Martyn sold a Nismo front diff for £550 and it had been checked and given a clean bill of health by someone who knew what they were doing, this one was for sale at the same price (it actually went for £595!) yet had not been checked by anybody who knew what they were talking about or looking at.....
Is that not a big gamble?

Hang on a miniute. Yes it was at £550 as that is the cheapest ive seen them sell for, Then i relisted the add on ebay @ £250 starting bid with no reserve & it sold for £595, thats not my choice as it could of sold for £300 with no reserve. Thats why ebay is a bidding site!

As Perrin21 has explained above "he bought into it & took the chance" & supprise supprise its in good full working order & as you have stated above "im just lucky this time" what??? Lucky for selling something in working order that was stated in the add!

So what your realy trying to say is you want something for nothing & your trying to tell me its knackard when its not. So id sell it cheap as chips & get ripped off because someone would have a nice WORKING nismo diff for sweet FA! I aint no mug & i aint a ripoff merchant either coz i wouldnt like it if i bought a knackerd item!

So there isnt realy a problem here is there apart from people just being argumentative!
