A bit smokey

Just had the car MOT'd, so I know emissions wise its fine. On the drive home it was very smokey and I'm thinking it could be the turbo. The car hasn't been used in a while so not sure if giving it a good run will do anything. does this sound more like the turbo rather than valve stem oil seals?

Also just changed the oil and filter

Under what conditions was it smokey? Mine was smokey on overrun when the turbo went.

when its sitting idling and I rev it all is fine, when im out for a run and tbh not really pushing it at all just driving it slightly on boost its Smokey then. I've only driven it about 2 miles since its been in the UK, Engine seems fine and only passed MOT yesterday

If its been sitting idle for a while could be a stuck ring.

Lol, Rob I used to stick that stuff in my RS turbo back in the day before MOT time, it worked really well!

Maybe it just needs a bit of proper use mate, Whats the worst thing that can happen ?. if it needs a rebuild it wouldn't be that bad would it mate.
