how much of a difference does the z32 make?
what power increase have most of you guys got by using a z32

there's no gain in using a z32 maf...
it's only a way to get more headroom, if your're using upgraded turbo etc..

Power is achieved by increasing boost, getting the gasses flowing through engine (in&out) more efficient, reducing friction,weight and polar moments.

All the other parts such as bigger injectors, bigger AFM, uprated fuel pump are "supporting parts"

iirc you can not run a Z32 on a std ecu, you will have to run a upgraded ecu like a apexi power FC
Correct. - You either need to fool the ECU into thinking it's a standard MAF (with something like an airflow adaptor), or you need to run an ECU that can recognise it (chipped ECUs like Nistune work just as well as stand alone solutions like the PFC).
