just wondering what the score is with all the different presure springs, just about to order one

it dictates at what boost the waste gate will opererate if theres nothing bleeding the signal..

i.e a 1bar spring will open the gate at 1 bar, that would be the lowest boost setting achievable

so for example, if i were to run say a 1 bar spring with my evc set at 1.7 bar it will go to 1.7 bar- if that makes any sense?

your spring is built into the actuator on your turbo, you cant just replace the spring. Why do you want to do this? You can use a boost controller to have the same effect without having to touch the turbo.

im just thinking about going for a external wg, just need to know what spring is needed.

Ahh ross, sorry for I got you confused with another which then made your question make no sense at all, I have replied to your mail. If you go for external get a. You are correct in your posts above. The only reason you may want a higher pressure spring is if it begins to open under high boosts against the spring pressure. But they are relatively easy to change.
