Unplugging the DET sensor

Can this be done easily cos the ECU check on my car shows it's malfunctioning! :roll:

If you can get ot it, its situated half way up the back of the block, its a pig to get to, you need to remove the down pipe to get access.

cos, the ecu will think its open circuit(which it is), obviously this is not a good thing for a knock sensor to be, ie without it the engine will explode :shock: :D

disconnect it and clean and check the wires. reconnect it before starting the car remove negative battery lead for 10 min which will erase the code 8)

OK, I did wonder whether it would still complain about the missing resistance.

I have been pulling around at the ECU loom recently so I might of loosened some wires, gonna check that next.
