Tyre Advice please

Hi fella's, could do with your advise once again :)

Car is up for MOT and I want to get a set of new tyres. Fronts definately need replacing, and I've sorted x2 brand new Bridgestone's for £70 a tyre, which is was quite pleased with (off a mate). Will get these fitted at lunchtime.

Is it advised to get the same rear tyres as front? Probably yes, but they are VERY expensive (around £115 per tyre). Is there anything at a more sensible price? Anyone down south (Hants / Surrey) with x2 they want to sell me?

17" / 205 / 45 is what I need.

Yeah there's not as much choice at that size fella, but if you change to a 205x40x17 you get a lot more choice :wink: .

But toyo's are still £73.90 in your size.

If you're fitting new, I'd go for the same tyre all round. If you don't take it easy until you find which end grips better or you could end up another statistic :(
