REVERSE light switch removal

reverse lights stopped working so i ran a live wire from the battery to the plug above the gear box and the lights work so i guess the switch has gone

How the hell do i remove this switch?

i removed the 10mm bolt and tried heating it, and it just doesnt budge, i think il have to burn it out?

any suggestions

get a screwdriver and whack it through the middle of the plastic and just prise the old one out if your fitting a new one

today i fitted the replacement switch and the lights still dont work!!!

if i feed a live from the battery to this terminal on the plug they work...

please help iv checked all fuses inside and the engine bay

could it b the inside of the gear box is messed
