removing AC bracket

How do you remove the AC bracket with the turbo still on the car?

I have binned the compressor but the damn bracket is still on the block. I can't get at one bolt as the turbo elbow is in the way, and to take that off I need to get at one bolt that is stuck behind the dipstick tube!

Or do I just take the manifold and turbo off?

I managed to remove mine with all the parts you've mentioned in place. I did have the rad and front-mount off though. I just used ball-jointed and elbowed tools to get in at an angle. You should be able to ease the oil dipstick line over to aid your access.

I hope this helps! Best of luck!

I bought a 14mm ratchet spanner from halfords and had it shortned, then used the handle off a mallet to get enough pressure on the spanner and push it up..

I've never been so happy to get one bolt undone, it is definatley worth it as that plate weighs a tonne! I also found it easier once i had dropped the exhaust off of the elbow, it gave me a little more room.

I found my spanner fouled against the oil return pipe, which is why it needed to be made shorter!
