Poly Steering Rack Bush fitting

I've got some poly steering rack bushes to fit and after a quick look is there an easy way of changing the bushes over?!

The ones ive got currently dont have a cut in them to allow them to be fed over the rack right by the bracket but this can easily be done or should the bush not be cut?

It doesnt look too bad a job but i know that in nissan terms there will be alot of swearing as im bound to struggle somewhere along the line!

hi mate all the sets i sold were cut half way across the flat bit its a bugger to do with the engine in but i think peole have done it

with engine out its a 5 minutes job just dont cross thread the bolts

allen i bought a set of you years ago and went to fit them and they are not the same shape as the old ones one is a circle and one is shaped liked a d in red

We had this issue (like you say, years ago) they were for the wrong rack.
Allen did sort it as we all got the right ones, but I think he did more than one group.

id better check my bushes in the morning then as although there orange i think one is round and the other is slightly squarer, but will double check.

Where did you get these from?
The picture of the bushes on this site http://www.noltecsuspension.com/ show one is round internally and the other 'D' shaped.

Those are the correct shape bushes, I've just checked my old standard bushes.

what are the pros of upgrading these to some uprated ones?

Improved feel and response and take more abuse from the elements than std rubber bushes
