Oil pump seal problem

Hi!

now i had 3 times changed the seal on the oil pump but everytime it leaks after few miles. So what´s happend there? The seal was pressed outside of the oilpump housing on one side! The oil pressure is cold/warm arround 6-7 bar @ 3K. I run the Motul 300V competition 15-W50 after speaking to the oilopie!

Thanks for your help!

cheers
Sascha

check the crankshaft for end float, the crank pulley inside which runs on the seal and crank case breather pipes for blockages.

Thanks for the tip! i have checked the case braether pipes but there is no blockage. The air goes slightly through the pipes.

The crank pulley was used but no damage was there. Before i had fit a Forge aluminium pulley but now i had refit the OEM.

If you are sure the leak originates from the inside of seal / crank pulley joint and not outside of seal / oil pump case joint then check the crank end float and the trueness of the rotating items..
