Right having just changed my oil again after just 1000 miles
I thought I would go and find a nissan dealer as my usual one has closed,
so I located this place in addlestone surrey and got chatting as you do,
and we spoke about after market filters, the guy said on no account use them the main reason being because the filter flow is wrong so I thought
yeah maybe  and bought a nissan one, well after fitting it and putting me castrol rs 10-60w in I now have the best oil pressure ever! it sits at 2 bar on idle and 5bar at 65mph it doesn't fluctuate and drop/rise
on its own any more either, so thank you Andy at Asta nissan addlestone.

They are all made by the same people anyway  Nissan don't actually make filters they just put their name on them, just like all the other manufacturers..........just make sure u buy a quality filter not a cheapo one from a carbooty!!!!!! I use Fram and have never had a problem.

Its the same with brakes, my mate works at a company that make brake discs, they are all exactly the same, same grade steel etc just go into different boxes......Lucas, Ferodo or Lockheed!!

Ok if they are all made by the same people how come the holes on the
top of one filter I have here are blocked off but on another they aren't
and on yet another type I have from man the distance from the top of the
holes to the filter top is different and the size of the holes in the mesh is
different, the filters I am talking about are man, blueprint, and fram.
there is no consistency between all three I am looking at them now :?
