Offsets

Guys quick question what is the best offset to use with a 7x16 wheel.

Edd tells me that the standard offset is ET40, so how far in do the stock wheels sit? How far do we need to push them out to get them flush with the arches?

Anyone running wheels flush to the arch that can tell us what offset they're using?

think the biggest offset advised is et33

ive got Volk TE37 16x7 33mm offset and it doesnt stick out....matter of fact i think the rear could take some 28mm offset wheels. Wheel bearings may hurt though.

They clear my Hispec billet 4, 300mm kit by about a cm on both sides of the caliper.
