Injector seals...

I'm going to have a go at replacing the little rubber seals at the bottom of the fuel injectors tomorrow as I noticed mine were quite badly cracked and maybe be letting in some petrol fumes in the cabin that I get on a hot day?

Is it pretty straightforward? Anything I have to watch out for??

:D Aint done any on an 'R' yet.Only thing i can think of,is make sure you de-pressurise the fuelrail, otherwise you will get a face full of petrol(not very nice  )

It's pretty straight forward, de-pressurise the fuel rail, undo the 4 allen bolts and pull the rail and injectors away from the engine. The only bit of rubber you can normally see isn't a seal though, it's basically a rubber spacer, there is a seal on the infeed end of the injector inside the fuel rail and another seal at the outfeed end into the block, you'd probably be best changing the lot of then if you can. And remember to lube the new seals with a bit of silicon grease before you put it all back together. Shouldn't take you more than 30 minutes I reckon. :D
