Had the head skimmed a while back and ever since car holds back at low revs... compression is 150 across the board... would the timing have to be advanced to cure the problem running 20 degrees at present... any ideas would be spot on..thanx :D :D

i think its meant to be around 155 as standard so i dont think that is your prob, best to check the timing is ok to be sure i think the 20 degrees is for the fuel setup, for optimax to stop it det-ing prob more like a dodgy lead or something which has a break in the wire disturbed when you put it all back together

Mine has a 1mm HG so will be around 8.7:1 so I had it knocked back a couple of degrees to 18 until it's mapped properly.I don't think you want to be advancing the ignition on a higher compression unless you have an aftermarket ECU and know what you're doing.
