Gearbox breather

Where should the pipe be properly located?

Mine is as high as it can go and is in the middle of the bay on the right hand side as you look down. It is a bit in from the top of the battery and about an inch higher.

The thing however continues to leak and its now p*ssing me off.

I have noted that it could be due to pressure problems, blockages or overfilling.

It is not overfilling because the problem has only recently started and I have not filled the box.

If it is a block, would it still leak? Does the pipe simply detatch from the box so I can check for blocks? If not, how do I check?

If it is a pressure problem, how easy is that going to be remedied?

The gearbox should be splash lubrication, so there should be no pressure.
I've heard the transfer box can leak into the gear box, that would have the same affect as over filling it.

check the transfer breather. if its blocked it can force oil into the box. the pipe is toward the front of the t. box from the filler.
