since I bought the car the fuel gauge doesn't work.

Luckily the light still works and as long as i'm 6 miles or so away from a petrol station i'm alright. :-D

I've done some research but I can't really find any clear solutions. :?

Ideally i'm looking for someone to point me in the right direction ie check this and check that. ;-)

as far as the connection on the fuel tank, where exactly is it?

What's it likely to be?

cheers

Well if the light comes on then the sender must be ok so looks like the guage it self i managed to get mine working again last week and all i done was to fill with fuel as much as i could get in, and then i took the clocks out and checked the 4 rear screws and pluged it back in and turned the ign on and gently moved the level up to slightly past full where it stayed so i turned ign off again and reassembled and its working fine again now.

Took bout 20 mins in total with 1 screwdriver so not hard to do worth a go
