How much can you lighten from a standard flywheel?

Can you lighten a flywheel too much?

I believe the standard flywheel id approx 9.7kg

What are the negative side effects of having a lightweight flywheel?

Stall easier and potentially a not so smooth idle.
If it's a lightened standard one - badly done ones on other cars over the years have been known to fail. Make sure who ever does it knows what they're doing.

Agree, I don't know of anyone who's taken much off a standard wheel and I wouldn't want one through my block. I used to run an incredibly light twin plate superclutch that wasn't great in traffic though with organic plates was quite useable. The engine felt much more lively than with a Fidenza lightweight flywheel but that was much more streetable.
