dump valve on no dump valve?

ive been told by 1 of the leading tuners on the market not to get a atmos dump fitted. they said the can cause all sorts of different problems.they even said that they dont even fit them or sell them any more.whats the crack here.ive seen most people on here have them and i really want 1, ineed the wooosh.has any 1 had any problems?

havent heard of any1 having any problems?!

i had a bailey on my ol R, sounded ok, but not loud enough for me.

now got a forge dump valve on my new R loud as f**k, looks better and doesnt sound so much like an rs turbo like the bailey.

still got my old re-circ so if people respond with dump valves causing problems i'll whack it back on - but it sounds the bo**ox.

now thats good policy, I have a forge DV too, and its great, it hasn't given me any problems and its there a year now!
trust me if you want the PSSSSST you wont be disappointed

cant say fairer than that from forge, :D but when i fitted mine and drove down the road, the sound is awesome - didnt want to stop driving it. 8)

the looks you get from people walking in town - memorable.

easy to fit and you can change the springs by emailing forge and they'll send a different one out to ya!

get a forge mate, looks the bo**ocks in the engine bay.

fitted mine a week or so ago and it sounds perfect, i emailed forge and they replied within the hr and the yellow spring was in the post same day.

easy to fit and as i said, sounds brilliant.

dont bother with a bailey, to rs turbo like in my opinion.

happy driving - wooooosh bang!!!! 8)

i blocked mine off completly cha cha chatttterrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr lol and above 5500rpm it makes a derelaaaaabrrrrrr do u get m lol

if anywon finds my marbles let me no ay :shock:

Ive had a Bailey EVO piston on mine, but have now replaced it with the standard recirculating jobby

Ive had no problems with any of them, just enjoying the chatter at the moment.

Ive had a Forge dump valve on my old RS turbo, and that was ace

Ill be getting a forge next, because i know they make some sh!t hot stuff, and the fact they are a 5 minute walk from my house 8) :wink:

dunno if atmospheric or not, i aint decided

right i'll probably get flamed to hi heaven but has any one tried getting shot of the dump valve
i know its a different engine but Mark at MADevelopments was running without one on his escort cossie and that was over 400 horses so cant really do that much damage
i tried this on my punto and the throttle response between gears etc was so much more instant but everyone alwalys says u have to have a DV except the cossie boys

I ran a bailey on my 5 turbo at 1bar for about 7 years and had no probs.Got a HKS SSBV on my R,been on for about 10 months,again no probs.Only probs i've heared of are certain single piston type valves being used on cars like the R with a maf,cause they leak air after the maf and cause tickover probs, and if accelerated on create a lean mixture :!:

Yey i had the dump valve on my R blocked, it really did sound super, that chatter, though after my turbo packed up might i add it was a year old, i decided on the hks sqv, has anybody tried the g-reddy
