my car is running a manual boost controller set at 1bar so if the car was starting to det how would i know?would the car go into limp mode?it pulls smooth all the way up the revs but would it be lumpy at higher revs if it was starting to det?i just dont want to melt any pistons.

how do u kow its set to a bar? u have aftermarket guage?

if its a bleed valve then check uve set it to 1bar and not somin silly

no it wont go into limp mode etc,

best to get it rolling roaded

If you get det the factory det sonsor should detect it and back the timing and boost off a little for you.

If it starts to det, you'll hear it back off the throttle as soon as you do hear it and you should get away with it.

In the first instance you'll get pinking, which sounds abit like a metallic rattling sound. (like when you put the car in 5th at 5mph and try driving away) Come off the throttle if you hear that.

got an hks boost gauge so i know it is at 1 bar.never had any noises like pinking etc so far but im going to a rolling road next month.
