Dented sump...

I've noticed that my sump pan is slighly dented, oil pressure seems slightly down from what I remember at idle, so after some research using the now legendary search button I'm going to try this first.

My question is, anyone got a part number for the relevant gasket for when I re-attach the sump (I'm assuming there's a gasket of some kind), and am I best off getting a new sump or just trying to knock out the old one?

Cheers

Loctite do a 'Sump specific' liquid gasket as it's oil resistant available from Halfrauds for a fiver.

 I'm going for an 800bhp rebuild next week using nothing but standard components strengthened with melted down mcdonalds straw plastic - its the future ;)

Jimmy - thats a good point   I'll gently stroke one out.... then take a look at the sump
