Compression test

my apologies for such a noob question but how do i do a compression test,,, never had to do one before

You will need a compression test gauge,get your engine warm,but not too hot to work on,remove the fuse for the fuelpump,remove all the sparkplugs,screw the tester gauge into number 1 plug hole and turn the engine over a couple of times until you get a consistant reading.Do the same for the other 3 cylinders.

I never worry about the fuel pump fuse, My view is that with all the plugs out the fuel just get's blown out anyway lol, So it doesn't really cause a problem.
