Cheap boost topic?

Where did the cheap boost topic go?
It was about switching around the standard actuator vacuum hoses to get 14 psi. The post seemed to disapear.

I remember there was a post a few months back about getting cheap 1 bar boost. I think they said to solder someting uo then drill it through with a 1mm bit or something along those lines :?: :?: :?:

Solder up the restrictor jet in the pipe from the plenum to the underside of the top mount intercooler frame (the pipe has a green line around it). Then drill a 1.2mm hole through it (I think that's right :? ).


Never tried it but hear it works fine.

Cheap as chips eh!

Apart from needing to check your fuelling and possibly getting an uprated fuel pump. Oh and budgetting for a new clutch!

So not that cheap! Just kidding! But for the extra few hundred quid for a boost controler you can run standard and 1 bar or whatever you want. Worth considering!
