my car was showing a fault code 3.4 so i changed det sensor reset the codes but problem is still there
when i was changing the sensor i reliazed there was only one wire going to the sensor is that how it is sposed to be

do i have to see if the other end of the wire is connected to the ecu ?
is there any other way to reset the ecu apart from sorting it?
or is there anything else that i can do to get rid of the code 3.4?

please can someone help i dont want to waste anymore money.
thanks

Reset the ecu by shorting the pins. Then take the car for a drive and see if the code shows after that.

The other end of the wire should be connected to the ECU (number 27, white wire I believe).

But wait for someone with more knowledge on the GTi-R to confirm or ammend my theory

I am having the same code show up as well and will be changing the sensor next week hopefully :D

There is only one wire, and a ground, or "screen", or whatever its called, which is earthed at the ecu IIRC.

It might be a wiring problem, if the code can't be cleared. Check the wire and any connectors in the wiring for the det sensor.

Run a new wire from the Det sensor all the way back to the ECU and have done with it.
