Si has just sent me this, its fitted our pal Steve's 400bhp, 400lbft race R. Thought Id show you lot

He was also saying that the Cusco 4 point lower brace is recommended to ANYONE, regardless of mods. I',ve fancied one for a while but my argument is how low do they hang. I caught my splitter the other day when I was giving me new 16'' wheels a test drive, so how would it perform over speed bumps etc, and on a everyday car basis :?:

Nice innit :!: So you reckon the brace would take a bit of stick but be ok day to day.

Can I just Stck my neck out and say I wish this car was competing at TOTB3. Coz if it was road legal it would destroy all on the handling circuit. And I really beleive that :) Its an amazing motor. It would do the club proud :(

Just don't anyone flame me for the TOTB3 comment. I meant it in genuine sense. Steve cars is a full-on track racer, that very well set-up. He's a top racer who knows the R inside -out. Just a shame its not road registered coz it still looks pretty original and it would be class to see Steve shafting all those EVO's, Cossies, Skylines, F**kin Scoobies

Don't know what series Steve competes in, but Si will. Hes gettin his Motec M8pro set up at Powerstation soon

Its just good for the NE boys to have Steve for advice, help, and the odd job we can't do ourselves :?

i'm not sure what series he races in, i do know 90% of his races are at croft this year and he races against a couple of lairy nearly 600bhp escort cossie's and a mental V6 rover with alpha management etc., he's at knockhill on the 25th of april if you want to see it in action, he'll be running the anti lag by then, i'll post up his spec if anyone's that interested. :D

Nice to see the spec of a proper proven reliable race car 8) do you know what compression ratio it runs and what boost :?:

I remember in his first Season, bearing in mind the spec was no-where near the above, he upped the boost to 1 bar and was pretty competitive. In the search for better track success the car evolved into the above. I remeber Steve telling me that when they stripped the engine at the end of the Season, there was Sweet FA the matter. After 12ish meets and a trac k thrashin i'd say that was testiment at how class our cars are

Code:
i havnt got a clue what the comp ratio is, i know he has been running it at 1.2 to 1.4 bar of boost, he's hoping he wont have to go higher than 1.6 with the motec on.

You won't get flamed about the 10 OTB comments.Would love to have him on the team but we don't make the rules reagrding entry  .

Carbon prop is expensive but cheaper than I though for a one-off.If they made a few it would be a lot cheaper but I can't see people sheeling out for them on a road car(apart from on GT that is  ).The driveshafts might be different though-depending on how much and what advantages they offer.

i havnt heard him mention the carbon driveshafts for a while, do you want me to see what sort of prices they'd be if it was a group buy. :?:
